Project Overview
Our client wanted to completely transform their dated bedroom into a luxurious, boutique hotel-style space. The brief was clear: dark tones, ambient lighting, and a seamless finish throughout. To bring this vision to life, we stripped the room back to its foundations and rebuilt it with bespoke fittings and carefully considered details.
Our Process
1. Initial Consultation & Planning
We began with an in-depth design consultation to understand the client’s vision, needs, and preferences. We explored various design concepts, colours, and materials, with a particular focus on tailored storage solutions. Once budget and timelines were confirmed, the project was scheduled in.
2. Detailed Project Planning
We developed a comprehensive Gantt chart to outline every phase and milestone. This helped keep the project running smoothly, allowing us to anticipate potential delays and maintain transparent communication with the client throughout.
3. Collaborative Design
Using CAD drawings, we presented a custom design for the fitted wardrobes. Our client provided feedback, which allowed us to refine the design before final approval.
4. Procurement & Preparation
We prioritised the sourcing of materials with longer lead times to ensure nothing delayed our schedule once on-site.
5. Full Renovation & Installation
- Site Preparation: Protective coverings were laid down to keep the home clean and disruption-free.
- Room Strip-Out: Old wardrobes, carpets, and skirting were removed.
- Wall Preparation: Damaged walls were stripped to brick and re-plastered.
- Electrics & Plumbing: First fix positioning of cables and pipework was carried out by our trusted trades.
- Feature Wall: We crafted a panelled wall with integrated bedside downlights and a custom picture ledge.
- Painting & Finishing: After drying, the room received a mist coat and full paint job.
- Second Fix & Final Fit: Electrics and plumbing were finalised before installing the bespoke wardrobes with a perfect fit.
Project Challenges
Coordinating multiple trades in a precise sequence was our biggest logistical challenge. We tackled this through meticulous planning, built-in contingencies, and strong working relationships with our subcontractors.
