What Makes Ward-Smith Interiors Different?
We pride ourselves on offering high-end bespoke fitted furniture at affordable prices. We will work with you to understand your requirements and do our best to provide you with a solution within your budget.
Your project is 100% bespoke. We can incorporate glass, lighting, electrics, a variety of pre-finished materials, or spray-painted finishes—the options are endless.
Ward-Smith Interiors has an engineering background, which is why attention to detail and precision is at the forefront of everything we do.
What is your process?
Our process follows three distinct steps:
1) The first stage is to contact us to arrange a free home design consultation at a convenient time. By the end of the consultation meeting, we will have a clear understanding of your requirements and all the information and measurements required to provide you with a quote.
2) Once we receive confirmation from you, we will request a 25% up-front deposit. Upon receiving the deposit, we will send you a copy of the CAD drawing of your bespoke furniture for you to sign off on.
3) We will confirm an estimated installation date and begin production. The week before installation, we will request a further 65% payment. The remaining 10% is payable on the installation day once the furniture has been installed and you are 100% happy.
How much does fitted furniture cost?
Because every project is 100% unique to our customers, it is impossible to give a flat-rate price. We strive to provide our customers with fair and accurate quotations that are based on the specifications of their projects. So we can do this, we highly recommend a free home design consultation meeting.
Do you offer finance?
Unfortunately, this is not something we currently offer to our customers. However, we are continuously striving to provide more options for our customers in the future. If you want to work with us but are worried or curious about the pricing, please contact us to discuss what options are available.
When do you take payment for projects?
Project payment timeline follows the below structure:
1. 25% up-front deposit
2. 50% payment due on the day of (or before) installation
3. 25% payment due on completion of the installation
How can I make a payment?
All payments are to be made via BACS transfer (online banking) using bank account details provided on our invoice.
I would like to confirm/cancel/re-arrange my appointment
We prefer to engage with our customers via WhatsApp because we have found it the most efficient communication method. We would request you to update us via WhatsApp with as much notice as possible. Should this not be possible, you may also contact us via telephone, text or email.
I have not received my quotation
We aim to issue quotations within 3 working days following the design consultation meeting. In some circumstances, it may take longer than usual, so please feel free to contact us for an update.
Do you use Computer Aided Design (CAD) to design your projects?
Yes. By using CAD software we can show you what your project will look like before it is built, so there are no unexpected surprises. We can input the shape and sizes of your home into the CAD software and design your fitted furniture to fit the space, such that every bit of space is maximised.
Where do you manufacture your fitted furniture?
We aim to minimise disruption to you and so all our projects are hand-made in our tailor-made workshop located in the heart of Essex countryside. By operating in this manner, we can ensure that the time at your home is kept to a minimum and the process is as hassle free as possible.
What will I need to do in preparation for the installation?
Pre-installation requirements may change depending on the project. Typically, we will ask you to clear out the room the work is to be completed, allowing plenty of space for our team to install your units. If additional preparations are needed, we’ll do all we can to ensure you know this before the installation day.
Do I need to remove any plug sockets?
Should you require access to sockets which are located where the fitted furniture is planned to be installed, then these can be moved to another location or be brought into the fitted furniture. You are welcome to organise this with your own electrician, or we can use our preferred electrician – all of this will be agreed with you during the home consultation visit.
Do I need to remove coving or skirting boards?
If you have coving where your floor-to-ceiling wardrobe is to be installed, there are a couple of options available to you. The coving can be terminated at the point it meets the wardrobe, or we can make the top filler wide enough for the coving to wrap around the front of the wardrobe. This is down to personal preference and can be discussed with you at the home design consultation.
Should I decorate before my wardrobe is installed?
All of our wardrobes are built with backs and so the wall behind will not be seen. However, if the rest of the room is to be decorated, then it is generally advised that this is carried out after installation.
