Project Overview
The client wanted a full refurbishment of their bedroom, utilising the alcove space with some fitted wardrobes.
Our Process
The project was initiated with an in-depth design consultation meeting whereby we discussed project specifics, including the style and functionality the clients wanted to achieve with the room.
Project Challenges
During this project, we were presented with some unforeseen problems when we removed the existing wardrobes. We found several issues; there was a hole in the floor and some safety concerns with regards to the electrics. We dealt with these problems proactively, whilst communicating clearly with our client our action plan to resolve them. By engaging with our specialist sub-contractors, we were able to investigate and rectify the problem quickly.
Outcome & Client Impact
The bedroom, was re-purposed as a guest bedroom; a place where our clients’ family and friends could retreat to and relax. Another benefit of this room, is that we had designed one of the wardrobes to be a WFH station.
Our Reflection
This project was the first of its kind. The design of the wardrobe was truly unique, in that is was used as a work from home station, but when the doors shut, it looked like an ordinary wardrobe, matching the other side.
